«Los Bold. Una familia de hienas» is the children's and young adult novel by Julian Clary, published by Duomo Ediciones in hardback (288 pages, in Spanish).
The Bold family is a family of hyenas that appears to live a normal life: house with garden, jobs, two children and a great sense of humour. No one has discovered their secret until a newly arrived neighbour begins to suspect. The novel mixes zany humour with a message of tolerance and acceptance of differences.
First instalment of the saga «Los Bolds / The Bolds», with illustrations by David Roberts and translation by Marcelo E. Mazzanti. Winner of the Hea Lasteraamat 2018 award.
Recommended for readers aged 8 to 12, especially for those seeking zany humour and a story with a message about differences.
