In 'Trees Die Standing Up', Alejandro Casona presents a theatrical work that merges fantasy and reality. The plot unfolds within the theater, using elements of vaudeville to explore deep moral themes. The characters, immersed in a world of fantasy, seek to show the viewer the beauty and goodness of life, guiding them towards a path of hope and optimism. The play invites us to reflect on the importance of maintaining dignity and hope, even in the most difficult moments.

Alejandro Rodríguez Álvarez, known as Alejandro Casona was a Spanish poet and playwright born in Besullo, Spain, a member of the Generation of '27. Casona received his bachelor's degree in Gijon and later studied at the University of Murcia. After Franco's rise in 1936, he was forced, like many Spanish intellectuals, to leave Spain. He lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina until April 1962, when he definitively returned to Spain.
