«Look Who's Back» is Timur Vermes's satirical novel, published by Quercus in paperback (320 pages, in English).
Adolf Hitler wakes up in Berlin in 2011, with no war, no Nazi party or Eva Braun, in a Germany run by a woman and full of immigrants. He is mistaken for a brilliant impersonator who never breaks character; his outrage goes viral and he lands a television show. A satire on the cult of personality and the media.
English translation by Jamie Bulloch; originally published in German in 2012 as «Er ist wieder da». Shortlisted for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize (2015).
An option for readers of satire and black humour, with an interest in media and political criticism.
