«L'ombra del teu somriure» is the suspense novel by Mary Higgins Clark, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (392 pages, in Catalan).
Olivia Morrow, in fragile health and near the end of her life, must decide whether to reveal an old secret: letters from her cousin Catherine, a nun in the process of beatification, prove that at seventeen she gave birth to a son and gave him up for adoption. That child became Alex Gannon, a prestigious doctor and inventor, and his granddaughter, paediatrician Monica Farrell, could claim the inheritance. Some members of the foundation that administers the legacy will do everything possible to keep the truth from coming to light.
Catalan translation by Rosa Maria Borràs Montané, in the Èxits collection. The original English title, «The Shadow of Your Smile», was published in 2010.
