«L'oiseau de pluie» is the picture book written by Monique Bermond and illustrated by Kersti Chaplet, published by Père Castor in paperback.
Banioum wants to find the bird that sings to announce the rain and searches for it to cage it. The story raises a question about freedom and nature: those deprived of it lose the desire to sing. The simple narration and expressive illustrations convey respect for living beings and the value of spontaneous song.
The album «L'oiseau de pluie» was published in 1997 in the Père Castor collection and is written in French, with 24 pages.
Album recommended for children aged 3 and up, within children's and young adult literature.
