«Lisístrata» is the Greek theatrical comedy by playwright Aristophanes, published by Signatura Ediciones in paperback (116 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist, Lysistrata, persuades the women of Greece to refuse sexual relations with their husbands until the men lay down their arms and end the Peloponnesian War. With this sex strike as its driving force, Aristophanes composes a satire on power, war, and gender roles, with a light-hearted and critical tone.
Translation and version by Pedro Sáenz Almeida. The original Greek title is Λυσιστράτη. Edition published in 2002.
Reading for those interested in Greek classics, satirical theatre, and comedies with political and feminist undertones.

Aristophanes was an Ancient Greek comic playwright from Athens. He wrote forty plays, of which eleven survive virtually complete. The majority of his surviving plays belong to the genre of comic drama known as Old Comedy and are considered its most valuable examples. Aristophanes's plays were performed at the religious festivals of Athens, mostly the City Dionysia and the Lenaia, and several of them won the first prize in their respective competitions.
