L'hora de les decisions: Cartes 1950-1960 is a compilation of the letters that are preserved by Josep Pla and Jaume Vicens Vives, together with others from correspondents such as Josep Quintà and Florentino Pérez Embid. This correspondence contextualizes the dialogue between the writer and the historian during the 1950s and 1960s, a crucial period to glimpse the future of Catalonia and free it from the Franco regime. This edition features the edition of Guillem Molla and the prologue by Joaquim Nadal i Farreras.
Josep Pla i Casadevall was a Spanish journalist and a popular author. As a journalist he worked in France, Italy, Britain, Germany, and the Soviet Union, from where he wrote political and cultural chronicles in Catalan and Spanish.
