«Les lunettes, ça m'embête !» is the children's novel by Barbara Park, published by Pocket Jeunesse in paperback (106 pages, in French).
Suzie, the protagonist of this children's series, starts the school year and discovers that the letters on the blackboard look blurry. When the school nurse tells her she needs glasses, she's not keen on the idea; between surprises and little tricks, she learns that wearing them can be fun and that seeing everything clearly has its good side.
The work belongs to the series «Suzie la chipie», of which it is volume 18. The French edition includes illustrations by Corinne Bongrand, with translation by Sophie Dieuaide.
Aimed at child readers up to 12 years old, especially those facing changes such as starting school or wearing glasses.

Barbara Lynne Park was an American author of children's books. She is most well known for writing the Junie B. Jones series of chapter books. She has also written several middle grade and young adult books, including Skinnybones (1982), Mick Harte Was Here (1995), and The Graduation of Jake Moon (2000). Park's works frequently visit themes of familial relationships and children's experiences in school, and she based characters on her children and her own childhood memories. Park did not allow adaptations of her works except for stage plays.
