«Le Viking qui voulait épouser la fille de soie» is the novel by Katarina Mazetti, published by GAIA in paperback (256 pages, in French).
A family saga that moves from rural Sweden to the refined city of Kiev, with a well-researched plot touching on current issues such as human trafficking and mixed heritage. There is suspense, love, combat and poetry, and it shows that the Vikings were not just bloodthirsty brutes.
The work is categorised as Literature and Fiction; this French edition is dated 1 March 2014.
Recommended for readers of family sagas with humour and suspense, and for those who want to see the Vikings from a less stereotypical perspective.
