«Le petit berger de Noël» is a children's Christmas story by Iguchi Bunshu and Gérard Bessière, published by Cerf in paperback (22 pages, in French).
It tells simply of the birth of Jesus, with a very brief text. The narrative is supported by watercolour-style illustrations in soft tones; the cover shows a young shepherd with his staff and a lamb in a landscape of greens, yellows and blues. A visual and delicate approach to Christmas.
It is a reprint of the original 1976 edition; the paperback copy has 22 pages and the text is in French.
Given its brevity and visual component, it is suitable for the youngest and for sharing with family at Christmas.
