Discover the moving story of Janny and Lien Brilleslijper, two Jewish sisters who defied adversity during World War II. Amid the Nazi invasion of Holland, these brave women joined the Resistance, risking their lives to save other persecuted people. Their refuge in the forest became a beacon of hope, but after being captured, they met Anne Frank and her sister Margot in the Westerbork camp. Together, they faced unimaginable horrors in Auschwitz, where Janny and Lien cared for the Frank sisters in their last days. Decades later, writer Roxane van Iperen unearthed this extraordinary story, paying tribute to the courage and resilience of these two heroines united by tragedy.
