«Las Figuras» is the children's book introducing geometry by Josep M. Fite, Luis Rizo and Varios, in paperback (Ediciones Monserrate SAS, 32 pages).
The book shows young children basic geometric shapes through a locomotive made up of cubes, cylinders and coloured wheels on tracks. The childlike illustrations, with abstract circles in the background, invite readers to recognise simple shapes and absorb basic geometric concepts in a visual, approachable way.
Written in Spanish, it was originally published in 1997; its ISBN-13 is 9788489730199. It is listed in the catalogue under Children's and Young Adult and Education.
Suitable for preschool children and early primary grades, and useful for families and educators wanting to introduce geometric shapes.
