«Las cuatro estaciones» is the picture book by José Antonio Abad Varela, published by Kalandraka as a hardback book-and-CD (48 pages, in Spanish).
José Antonio Abad Varela's story follows a squirrel through the forest over the course of a year; Emilio Urberuaga's illustrations recreate the spring bloom, the hot summer, the falling leaves of autumn and the snowy winter landscape. A CD with Vivaldi's concerto, performed by Sarah Chang, accompanies the reading.
Published in 2012, it belongs to Kalandraka's Book-and-CD series and includes biographical notes on the composer, the performer, the author and the illustrator.
The work is aimed at readers aged 5 to 6 and at families who want to introduce children to classical music.
