In 'Largo alcance,' Azad Cudi recounts his experience as a Kurdish sniper in the fight against the Islamic State. At nineteen, after being recruited by the Iranian army and deserting to avoid fighting against his own people, Cudi went into exile in the United Kingdom. Years later, he returned to the Middle East as a social worker and joined the Kurdish forces in Rojava, where he became a key sniper in the defense of the city of Kobane. The book intertwines the horrors of war with personal and political reflections, exploring the price of victory and the sacrifices made to protect his people and his land.
