«L'aranya Ariadna» is the eighth title in the Pícnic collection, a children's story by Pascale Chadenat, published by Castellnou (paperback, 60 pages, in Catalan).
In the world of insects, Ariadna is a small orphaned spider scorned for her appearance, which frightens everyone. Her greatest wish is to look like Set Pics, a pretty ladybird. Doctor Lucanus, nicknamed the metamorphoser, transforms ugly insects and can offer her a solution, though the change may be irreversible.
Eighth volume in the Pícnic collection. Published in 2011, with illustrations by Delphine Bournay and Catalan translation by Roser Berdagué.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 who enjoy stories featuring insects.
