«La visita d'un inspector» is the play by J. B. Priestley published by Editorial Vicens Vives in paperback (144 pages, in Catalan).
In 1912, the Birling family dinner celebrating Sheila's engagement to Gerald Croft is interrupted by Inspector Goole, who investigates the death of young Eva Smith. The interrogation reveals how each family member contributed to her downfall. It is a suspenseful play that criticises the hypocrisy and lack of social responsibility of the upper class.
