In 'The Virtue of the Commons,' René Ramírez Gallegos explores the importance of knowledge as a common good and its management for the benefit of society. The author proposes the construction of an open, free, and public system of science, technology, and social innovation that promotes the well-being of humanity and the planet. This book analyzes the social, political, environmental, cultural, and economic challenges of this project, in the context of the paradigm shifts being undertaken in Ecuador. With a prologue by Pablo Iglesias Turrión, this work invites reflection on alternatives to generate and manage knowledge as a shared virtue.
