«La Sireneta» is the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen and Francisco Anton Garcia, published by Vicens Vives in paperback (80 pages, in Catalan).
The little mermaid lives in an underwater palace and feels an irresistible fascination for the stories her grandmother tells her about humans. When she turns fifteen, she goes up to the surface, falls in love with a prince and, to win his love, gives up her world and her voice. The tale shows that true love is an act of devotion and generosity.
