«La regla de tres» is the novel by Antonio Gala, published by Planeta in paperback (393 pages, in Spanish).
The writer Octavio Lerma, who is bisexual, retires to an island to reflect on his past and write a book titled «La enfermedad mortal». There he falls in love with Aspasia Martel and then with Leonardo, a much younger man, forming the love triangle that gives the novel its title; his story thus touches on a reflection on love, eroticism, loss, and solitude.
Recommended for readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and for those seeking intimate novels with a marked sentimental background.
Antonio Gala Velasco was a Spanish poet, playwright, novelist, and writer.
