La rateta

Synopsis of La rateta

«La rateta» is the children's story by Estel Baldó, Rosa Gil and Maria Soliva, published by Barcanova in paperback (16 pages, in Catalan).

The little rat was very vain. One day, while sweeping, she finds a coin and decides to buy herself a bow to adorn her tail. She looks so pretty that several animals, such as a dog, a donkey, a rooster and a lamb, ask her to marry them, but she rejects them all. Finally she chooses a very sweet and flattering cat, and what happens next invites reflection on appearances. Designed to encourage independent reading, each double page presents a short text with two letter forms: block and cursive.

Part of the «El Bosc de Colors» collection of children's and young adult books.
