«Cal Sopes» is the children's story by Estel Baldó, Rosa Gil and Maria Soliva, published by Barcanova in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).
A story for beginning readers: each double page combines an illustration on the right with a short text on the left, written in print and cursive letters, so that 4- and 5-year-olds can read independently. The story is about cooking and food, as shown on the cover with a cook and a steaming soup tureen.
Part of the collection 'Llibres infantils i juvenils - El bosc de colors'. First edition published on 10 April 2003; illustrations by Maria Espluga.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 6 who are starting to read alone, and for parents or teachers who want to reinforce independent reading in Catalan.
