«La puta feina» is a satirical work by Matthew Tree about the world of work, published in paperback by labutxaca in 2008 (128 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together real experiences from the workplace: surreal job interviews, obsessive or incompetent bosses, fraudulent companies and cases of harassment. Matthew Tree adds his own episodes and narrates with irony how these bosses complicate their employees' lives; the reading works as a guide for anyone who fantasises about quitting work.
The work belongs to the Labutxaca collection and its publication in Catalan dates from 1 June 2008.
For readers who enjoy acid humour and want to see the absurdity of the working world portrayed.
Matthew Tree is a writer in English and Catalan. He has lived in Catalonia since 1984.
