«La posguerra vista por una particular ...y su marido» is the memoir by Pilar Garrido Cendoya, illustrated by Forges, from Booket in paperback.
Pilar Garrido Cendoya reconstructs her childhood in the Spanish postwar period: school, Sunday Mass, children's games, and the visit of Carmencita Martínez Bordiú to the school. Forges's illustrations add humour to a hard era and turn the account into a portrait of everyday history.
Spanish-language edition of 240 pages, published in 2011 in the Diversos collection. It is Pilar Garrido Cendoya's first book.
A book suitable for those who enjoy historical memory and graphic humour.
Forges is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.
