«La patience des buffles sous la pluie» is the short story collection by David Thomas, published by LGF/Le Livre de Poche in paperback (155 pages).
The stories focus on people who wait and face adversity in scenes of everyday life; the image of buffaloes in the rain serves as a metaphor for quiet strength. The prose, sober and introspective, addresses loneliness, acceptance and resilience.
The work was published on 1 June 2011 in French, with a foreword by Jean-Paul Dubois.
For readers of short fiction who appreciate intimate stories about everyday life, loneliness and resilience.
