David Lynn Thomas was an American singer, songwriter and poet based in the United Kingdom. He was one of the founding members of the American rock group Pere Ubu from 1975 to 1982, then 1987 through to his death in 2025. Earlier, he co-founded the proto-punk band Rocket from the Tombs, which lasted from 1974 to 1975. He also released several solo albums and collaborative projects. Most notable were the groups David Thomas and the Pedestrians as well as David Thomas and Two Pale Boys.
