Synopsis of La otra mano de Lepanto

La otra mano de Lepanto es una novela de Carmen Boullosa ambientada en el siglo XVI, durante el reinado de Felipe II. La historia sigue a María, una joven gitana que, tras ser separada de su padre, se ve envuelta en una serie de aventuras que la llevan desde Granada hasta Nápoles, pasando por Argel. En su viaje, María se disfraza de hombre y se enamora de un capitán español, don Jerónimo de Aguilar, con quien comparte un trágico destino en la batalla de Lepanto. La novela explora temas como la identidad, la religión y el amor en un contexto histórico de conflictos y cambios culturales.
