«La noche de los calamares» is the children's story by Silvia Dubovoy, published by Editorial Everest in paperback (32 pages, in Spanish).
Fulgo and Lumi are two squid born in different egg clusters who feel an immediate attraction the moment they see each other. They communicate with flashes of colour, but as they hatch, a current sweeps them in opposite directions. Before parting, they make a promise neither will forget, just as a squid remembers its birthplace. The tale brings the reader closer to life on the seabed.
It belongs to the Rascacielos collection, aimed at readers aged 6 and up. Illustrated by Ángeles Peinador Arbiza.
Suitable for early readers, especially boys and girls aged 6 and over interested in animals and marine life.
