Collects nearly a hundred one-minute chronicles that Pierre Desproges broadcast in 1982 on French television F.R.3. With black humour and measured language, it satirises customs, history and society, from learning to grow old without bothering the young to not laughing before the end of Hamlet; many close with the famous «Étonnant, non ?».
