La línea de sombra

Synopsis of La línea de sombra

«La línea de sombra» is the adventure novel by Joseph Conrad, published by Ediciones B in paperback (214 pages, in Spanish).

A young captain takes on his first command and, in Far Eastern waters, crosses the symbolic frontier between youth and maturity. The crew falls ill and the ship seems doomed to slow destruction, testing his capacity for decision. Conrad considered this work a personal confession and a tale of initiation.

Originally published in 1916 as «The Shadow Line: A Confession», this Spanish edition appeared in 1999.

For readers of adventure classics and sea stories, with a marked coming-of-age component.
