«La investigació» is Philippe Claudel's black comedy novel, published by La Magrana in paperback (208 pages).
An investigator arrives in a snowy city to look into a wave of suicides among employees of a large company, but the environment is hostile and he barely finds refuge in a squalid hotel room. Philippe Claudel turns this premise into a satirical fable about chaos, bureaucracy and dignity, with a black comedy tone between Kafka and Buster Keaton.
Originally published in French as «L'Enquête», the 2014 edition includes the translation by Jordi Martín Lloret and belongs to the Otros - La Magrana collection.
For readers of crime fiction and satire who appreciate social criticism with a Kafkaesque and unsettling tone.
Philippe Claudel is a French writer and film director.
