Synopsis of La Guerre des boutons
La Guerre des boutons es una novela del autor francés Louis Pergaud, publicada en 1912. La historia narra las rivalidades entre los niños de dos pueblos vecinos, Longueverne y Velrans. Sus enfrentamientos, aunque infantiles, son tomados muy en serio por los jóvenes combatientes. El botín de guerra consiste en botones y cordones, despojando a los prisioneros de estos elementos esenciales. A través de batallas y revanchas, la novela retrata la vida de estos niños, liderados por personajes como Lebrac, Petit Gibus y Grand Gibus. Louis Pergaud
Louis Pergaud was a French novelist, war poet, and soldier, whose principal works were known as "Animal Stories" due to his featuring animals of the Franche-Comté in lead roles. His most notable work was the novel La Guerre des boutons (1912). It has been reprinted more than 30 times, and is included on the French high-school curriculum.
