«La Dernière Chanson de Sirit Byar» is a book of fantasy short stories by Peter Soyer Beagle, published by Denoël (paperback, 192 pages, in French).
Three stories set in the same medieval fantasy world: that of Taisharm, the thief and the singing fish; that of the comedians of Jiril; and that of the bard Sirit Byar, whose impossible love condemns him to wander the world.
The original is «Giant Bones» (1997), from the «Innkeeper's World» series; translation by Brigitte Mariot and Michelle Charrier; collection «Présence du futur».
For fantasy readers who enjoy short stories set in the same universe.
