«La bella señora Seidenman» is the novel by Andrzej Szczypiorski, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (255 pages, in Spanish).
In 1943, in Nazi-occupied Warsaw, Irma Seidenman, a young Jewish widow with blue eyes and blonde hair, can pass as non-Jewish. That appearance gives her an advantage in a city where threat lurks at every step, and her story crosses paths with those of other characters to portray survival and resistance during the war.
Translation from Polish by Bozena Zaboklicka, with an introduction by Clara Sánchez. Original title: «Początek».
For readers of historical fiction and narrative about the Second World War, with an interest in Polish literature.
