«La BD est Charlie» is the collective comic signed by Collectif, published by French and European Publications Inc in paperback (175 pages, in French).
The volume brings together press drawings and comics by authors from around the world as a reaction to the attacks on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris in January 2015. It is a tribute to the victims and a defence of freedom of expression, promoted by the French comics sector; the proceeds go to the families of the 17 victims.
The edition, published on 5 February 2015, brings together drawings by 173 authors in alphabetical order, from Al-Azar to Zep, with a foreword by François Cavanna.
Work for readers of graphic humour and comics interested in political satire and the defence of freedom of expression.
