«Juan crece hasta la China» is the children's picture book by Nicolás Schuff and Paula Fernández, published by Ojoreja in paperback (36 pages, in Spanish).
In the book, Juan measures his growth by marking on the world map in his room how far he reaches each birthday. Last year he reached India; now he reaches China. But the map, like the favourite T-shirt that is already too small for him, is also getting too small, and the story invites readers to think about how many days fit in a year and how many memories fit in a day.
«Juan crece hasta la China» was published in 2016 with illustrations by Mariana Ruiz Johnson.
A picture book for early readers that invites conversation about growth, memories and the passage of time.
