«Joan Bou i Esquella» is the children's and young adult novel by Maria Àngels Juanmiquel, published by Barcanova in paperback (168 pages, in Catalan).
Joan believes he is the centre of the universe: he is so proper that he boasts of never dirtying his shoes, doesn't play with his classmates or share his toys. Everything changes when he discovers that the window in his room has become crooked. Then he understands that sharing, inventing games, laughing and having friends is more fun than being perfect and never getting up to mischief.
This edition belongs to the Sopa de Llibres collection, green series, includes illustrations by Cristina Losantos and was published in 2006.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and over who enjoy children's adventure fiction and stories about friendship.
