«Jean-Yves à qui rien n'arrive» is the children's storybook by Pierre Gripari, published by Grasset & Fasquelle in paperback (172 pages, in French).
The protagonist, Jean-Yves, is a young man who tells surprising stories. Although each story is independent, they all form part of a whole, so the book can be read in one sitting or in parts, adapting to the reader's pace. The text combines humour and depth in a work aimed at children.
The work was originally published in 1985; this edition appeared in 1991 and includes illustrations by Claude Lapointe.
It is aimed at readers aged 9 to 12, especially those looking for short stories with humour and imagination.
