«Invitación a la ética» is a philosophical essay by Fernando Savater, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
Savater argues that not everything is equally valid and that there are reasons to prefer certain actions. With a philosophical approach, he examines the foundation of ethics, virtue, evil, and politics, and delves into humor, love, the sacred, and death. It closes with a response to the anti-ethical positions of the Marquis de Sade.
It is part of Anagrama's Compactos collection (no. 115) and received the Anagrama Essay Prize.
Recommended for philosophy readers interested in ethics and in Fernando Savater's essayistic work.
