«Infancia» is the autobiography of Jona Oberski, published by Bolsillo Byblos in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative covers three years in the life of a Jewish boy during the rise of Nazism. Through his eyes, it describes racism, marginalization, loss of rights, and the family's deportation to the Westerbork and Bergen-Belsen camps. Oberski turns his memories into literature and bears witness to the daily life of the persecuted.
The work was originally published in Dutch as Kinderjaren (1978); this Spanish edition, translated by Jan Schalekamp, appeared in 2007.
For readers interested in Holocaust autobiographies and stories from a childhood perspective.
