Helen Bradshaw works at a women's magazine, falls for the wrong men and drives a clapped-out car. When she tries to leave an unsustainable relationship, her father's death from a heart attack forces her to stop. With friends and colleagues absorbed in their own problems, she must rebuild her path towards love and friendship.
The original work, «Getting Over It», was published in 2000; this Italian edition, translated by I. Rubini, belongs to Salani's Femminili collection.
It will appeal to readers of chick lit and contemporary romance looking for humour and a story of personal growth.
Anna Maxted is an author based in North London, England.
