«Het spel van de raven» is the fantasy novel by Bernhard Hennen, published by Luitingh Fantasy in paperback (335 pages, in Dutch).

Omar, on the brink of death in the desert, begs to see his beloved Melikae one more time. A stranger offers him an impossible choice: follow him as an apprentice or die. Omar accepts, but his faith prevents him from breaking promises, and the stranger has no intention of facing the sorcerer who holds Melikae captive.
