«Herbário» is Jorge de Sousa Braga's children's poetry book, illustrated by Cristina Valadas, published by Assírio & Alvim in paperback (57 pages).
Herbário brings together short poems in Portuguese about the plant world: flowers, leaves and plants observed from a perspective close to childhood. Cristina Valadas's illustrations, featuring a white character among flowers of various colours, accompany the verses and lend a fantastic tone to the whole.
Herbário is number 2 in the Assirinha series, published in Lisbon in 1999.
For young readers beginning their journey into poetry and for those seeking an illustrated book about plants and nature.
