«Helena, Helena, amor mío» is a contemporary fiction novel by Luciano De Crescenzo, published by Seix Barral in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative begins with the dispute between Achilles and Agamemnon and combines the setting of the Iliad with an invented plot: young Leonte travels to Troy to search for his missing father and, amid the battles, falls in love with Ekto, a maiden who has the appearance and charm of Helen.
Translation from the Italian by Atilio Pentimalli Melacrino. The original Italian edition was published in 1991 as «Elena, Elena, amore mio».
A proposal for readers interested in Greek mythology and literary recreations with humour and philosophy.
