«Hansel y Gretel y La ratita presumida» is a children's book of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, published by Ediciones SM in hardback (80 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together two adaptations of classic tales for early readers: in «Hansel y Gretel», two siblings get lost in a forest and must find their way home; in «La ratita presumida», a vain little mouse learns a lesson about vanity. Colour illustrations accompany the entire narrative.
It was published on 2 February 2006 and belongs to the De dos en dos collection, which brings together two tales in a single volume.
Suitable for children aged 3 to 6; its capital letters and illustrations make it appropriate for early readers.

Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm, also known as Ludwig Karl, was a German author, linguist, philologist, jurist, and folklorist. He formulated Grimm's law of linguistics, and was the co-author of the Deutsches Wörterbuch, the author of Deutsche Mythologie, and the editor of Grimms' Fairy Tales. He was the older brother of Wilhelm Grimm; together, they were the literary duo known as the Brothers Grimm.
