«Giley» is the crime novel by Julián Ibáñez, published by RBA in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
Giley is an old card game: monarchs once wagered gold doubloons and even kingdoms. Now, police officer Cobos, transferred from Madrid to Puertollano, runs an illegal gambling den and stakes his life. A woman attacks him and disappears; his search drags him into a murky game with marginal characters.
The work is volume 68 of RBA's Crime Novel collection, whose first edition came out in 2010.
For those who appreciate Julián Ibáñez's style in stories of the underworld and renegade cops.
