«Flashman» is the historical adventure novel by George MacDonald Fraser, published by Ático de los Libros in hardback (368 pages, in Spanish).
After being expelled from boarding school, Harry Flashman ends up in the British army and gets involved in 19th-century colonial campaigns. Cynical, cowardly and seductive, he gets by through deceit and travels across England, India and Afghanistan. The work blends historical fiction, adventure and sarcastic humour without idealising the Victorian era.
First instalment of the Flashman Papers series, originally published in 1969; Spanish translation by María Antonia Menini.
For readers of historical and adventure fiction who appreciate black humour and antiheroes.
