«Fatal, gracias» is the humour book by Paula Púa, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (248 pages, in Spanish).
A humorous portrait of a generation that aspires to much, achieves little and avoids the phone. Its protagonist, insecure and concerned with others' opinions, wants to be the best comedian in Spain between monologues at patron saint festivals and performances in windowless venues. Autofictional comedy about self-demand and accepting mediocrity.
Published in Spain in May 2024. Part of the «Obras diversas» collection. Paula Púa is a comedian, presenter and scriptwriter with collaborations on Zapeando and Todo Es Mentira.
For readers of humour and autofiction, especially those who enjoy stand-up, millennial culture and everyday failures with irony.
