«Estaciones de paso» is a collection of five short stories by Almudena Grandes, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (265 pages, in Spanish).
Five stories about adolescence as a fragile territory: intense emotions, conflicts with one's surroundings, and emotional learning. A boy who hides a tragedy behind the report of a match, a holiday that shapes Carlos's political awareness, and a young woman who cooks her torments while caring for her invalid father are some examples.
The work was published in November 2005; ISBN 9788467215571.
It will appeal to readers of contemporary fiction and short stories, especially those seeking tales about adolescence and the transition to adult life.
Madrid novelist, author of The Ages of Lulu, The Frozen Heart and the series Episodes of an Endless War.
