«Escapar de un cuento» is a children's book by Concha López Narváez, published by Anaya in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
It poses a series of «what if...» scenarios in classic tales: Little Red Riding Hood tired of visiting her grandmother, the wolf joining the Bremen Town Musicians, or Snow White avoiding the poisoned apple. Many characters rebel against their fate and abandon their stories; others just seek a breather or prefer to stay in their tales.
Published in 2014, it belongs to Anaya's El Duende Verde collection (no. 194) and features illustrations by Rafael Salmerón.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 who enjoy parodies and alternative versions of classic tales.
