«En sortant de l'école» is the children's story by Yves Pinguilly and Manu Ruch, published by Magnard in paperback (47 pages, in French).
When Suzanne and Théo leave school, they notice an American convertible parked nearby, as shiny as a film star. The boot is open and so big and inviting that they can't resist: they climb in without permission, and the lid slams shut on them.
Published in 2002, it is a volume in the «Que d'histoires !» collection from Magnard for the CE1 level (series 1, period 2), within the school reading programme.
Aimed at children around 7-8 years old in the CE1 level in France, as part of school reading instruction.
